Warhammer: Odyssey is a gorgeous looking MMO set in Games Workshop’s fantasy world. We’ve been pretty excited about this one for a while, and right now everyone in the whole of the world (with an iPad or iPhone) can pick up the game and give it a go. That’s because it just soft launched worldwide.
Essentially this is an extension of the regional soft launches that have been going on for a while. Think of this like an open-beta. There might be a few bugs lurking in the game which will hopefully get ironed out come full proper hard launch.
You can pick one of six classes and 12 different specializations, and along the way you’ll meet some of the most famous faces from Warhammer lore. You can play with friends and take on massive monsters, forming Regiments of Renown and selling your loot in auction houses for massive profit.
Basically the game offers everything you’d expect from a Warhammer MMO, in a package that’s going to fit neatly into your pocket. What more could you really want? I mean, the trailer above is enough to get us salivating.
