Fancy building up an army of emotionless super humans and using them to defend the Imperium of Man from the threats of Chaos? Well you’re in luck, because that’s pretty much exactly what you do in Warhammer 40,000: Lost Crusade, and it’s out right now on the App Store.
The game is a midcore strategy battler with some meaty ideas and hero-collecting thrown in for good measure. You need to build up your battle barge, recruit new warriors and slowly but surely take over your corner of the cosmos.
The game certainly looks part, and the scraps here are a lot more hands-on than we’ve come to expect from similar games in the genre. Plus, y’know, Space Marines are just pretty darn cool.
There’s PvE, PvP, base-building, loads of things to unlock and challenges to complete. You can team up with other players to try and protect the galaxy and engage in massive battles too. Basically, this is most of the things you’d want from a midcore 40K strategy game.
