It seems that Square Enix is working on a mobile MMORPG based on Final Fantasy XV. It’s set to launch in China later this year, with a global version to follow shortly after.
The MMORPG won’t follow the events of the story, but it will take place alongside it. You’ll visit memorable locations and perhaps even meet a recognisable character or two.

Everything else is unclear though. Will it maintain the original art style rather than the chibi-style of Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition? Will it be an open-world exploration game?
