Little Orpheus from Chinese Room Games is one of our favorite Apple Arcade games. It’s a charming adventure platformer with a gorgeous art-style and a wonderful story. And today another chapter has been added, which can really only be a good thing. It’s called A Rush of Onion to the Head, and you can pick it up for free right now.
The new chapter details Ivan’s return from the center of the earth and features a giant version of the cosmonaut, a lot of wind and some super cool blimps. This is the final part of the story of Little Orpheus and it’s clear that a lot of work has been put into making it perfect.
If you haven’t played the original, it’s all about a journey to the middle of the planet, a nuclear bomb and some weird subterranean monsters. There’s a T-rex, a lot of tall tales and some of the best puzzling platforming you’re going to have experienced in a long while.
On top of the new levels, there’s a bunch of extra behind-the-scenes content to unlock as well. That forms part of the Lost Recordings collectible mode that was added to the game back in October. There are more than 100 new lines of dialogue, as well as concept art and new music to discover.
It’s fair to say that we’re excited to get our hands on A Rush of Onion to the Head, and we reckon you should be too. Anything that adds more to one of the best games of the last 12 months isn’t to be sniffed at. Especially when it’s free.
