The First Tree is a game that sees you playing as a fox. You’re scampering through the Alaskan wilderness on a journey that deals the grandest themes of them all – life, death and the pursuit of meaning.

There are actually two stories here – the foxes as she searches for her lost family, and a son as he tries to reconnect with his father. As you travel around the gorgeous environments, you’ll unravel parts of both.

You won’t be smashing up enemies or anything like that. The game’s focus is on exploration, with a little bit of puzzling and platforming chucked in as well.

The game has been out on other platforms for a while and received a lot of positive reviews. And when you take into consideration that it was developed by a one person team, the end result is even more impressive.

The First Tree will fill up a couple of hours, and you’re going to be enthralled by every second. Click here and you can download The First Tree from the App Store right now. It’ll set you back $4.99, but we reckon that it’s well worth it.

If you’ve already played the game, or you’ve got a question you’d like to ask, make sure you use the comments section at the bottom of this paragraph to share your thoughts. That’s what it’s there for, after all.
