At the end of last month we revealed that the NieR franchise was coming to mobile. NieR Re[in]Carnation was announced as part of the NieR’s tenth anniversary celebration, and we promised we’d keep you updated as and when we heard more.
Well, we’ve heard more. And seen more. The first trailer for the game has landed. Ready for your first glimpse at what NieR is going to look like on mobile? Then press play on the video we’ve embedded below.
It’s not the most exciting trailer we’ve ever seen, but it shows off just how good the game is going to look. The lighting effects in particular look lovely. Also, who doesn’t want an adorable ghost bobbing after them while they explore enormous ruins?
One thing clearly lacking from the trailer is violence. Whether that’s going to be true of the final product is an interesting question. The NieR series is, after all, known for its hacking and slashing.
