Spine is an Upcoming Cross-Platform PvP Battler From Nekki

Nekki, the company behind the excellent Shadow Fight series of games, has revealed the next project it’s working on. It’s called Spine, and it’s a cyberpunk PvP brawler that features cross-platform play.

The game is being developed by Banzai games, and it’s currently in its early stages. There’s a neon-soaked thrill to the trailer, which we’ve embedded below, and it gives you a brief taste of what to expect from the game’s aesthetic.

The game is set in a future where body augmentation gives people god-like powers. So obviously they use those powers to beat the living snot out of each other. There are going to be guns, there are going to be swords and you can bet there’s going to be a good deal of carnage as well.

You’ll be fighting it out in team-based, 3v3 battles. There are two factions in the game, and it’s their hatred of one another that drives the story along and pushes you into battle.

Spine is in pre-production at the moment, but the team behind the game are set to shift gears into production over the summer. We don’t have a release time frame yet, but when Spine comes out expect it to land on mobile, PC and consoles at the same time.
