Weirdly cute strategy game The Battle Cats has teamed up with Sonic the Hedgehog for a special event, running from the 4th to the 18th of August.
It includes limited-time maps based on the iconic stages from the Sonic the Hedgehog series, cat versions of Sonic characters, and Rare Capsules featuring Sonic, Knuckles, Tails, and Shadow as Uber Rare units.

The Battle Cats Meet Sonic The Hedgehog
There are five collab-exclusive maps you can play, and as this is a Sonic collaboration, they all take inspiration from Sonic stages as seen in the classic games. You Cats will face off against the well-known characters from Sonic.
Visit Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, Sky Sanctuary, and Radical Highway. All of these have limited stages available.
You will get bigger (and better) rewards as you clear more than 20 stages in the Radical Highway map. Gotta go fast! Yes, of course Sonic puns are allowed here.
Collab Exclusive Rewards and Capsules
Those aren’t the only rewards available. If you visit the Cat Base in The Battle Cats app every day, you’ll collect a login stamp that includes a reward. On the fifth day, you will get the limited-time Special unit Tails Cat. Meow! Or, maybe a noise a fox makes instead.
Players can also open Sonic Collab Capsules, featuring a variety of characters. Open Rare Capsules for a chance to get Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Shadow, Sonic Cat, and Shadow Cat.
All of these event-exclusive characters can evolve, too. For example, Shadow can evolve into Shadow & Cat, gaining a new look and boosted power.
Once you feel ready to go big, put your high score to the test and go up against other Battle Cat players around the world in the Sonic Battle Dojo Map at the Catclaw Dojo.
