At first glance, Shadow Frog might look like a simple platformer, but the deeper you get in the more exciting things get. That’s because the titular shadow frog comes into play and starts chasing you around the bite-sized levels.
You control everything with a single finger. You tap to jump, double tap to double jump and that’s about it. There are three keys scattered around the levels and you need to collect them all to move on.
Everything is presented in lovely chunky pixels, and the controls are super slick too. There’s a decent challenge here as well, especially when the shadow frog turns up and starts chasing you.
Because it’s not just chasing you, it’s copying your moves. Every jump you make, your shadow makes just after. You know what it’s going to do and you need to change your moves accordingly.
