While it is another game that’s been kicking around on the App Store for a few years, we can’t help but be a bit excited that Prune+ is out now on Apple Arcade. Mainly because it’s one of the best puzzlers available on mobile.
The game is all about cutting back trees, letting them grow and twist towards the sun. There’s a meditative aspect to it, and also a message about conservation and care. It’s just really, really, really good.
Throw in a beautiful soundtrack and some simple but delightful graphics and you’re left with one of the most aesthetically pleasing games you can play in the palm of your hand. Here’s a trailer to prove that point.
Prune is one of those games that you’re going to start playing and find it incredibly difficult to stop. And that’s not a bad thing. It’s a little package of joy and wonder, and playing it feels like a balm for souls battered by the modern age.
