Pokemon Unite Heading to iPhone and iPad This September

Ever wanted to play a lite-MOBA built around some of the most famous Pokemon on your phone? Well, in about three months time you’re going to be able to, because Pokemon Unite is launching on the App Store in September.

The game is set to hit the Switch next month, and when it launches on mobile there’ll be cross-play and cross-save functionality. You’ll be able to play on the same account whether you’re on your phone, tablet, or Switch. Neato.

The game sees you building up a team of five Pokemon, each with their own skills and special moves, and fighting them against other teams. You need to collect Aeos energy and deposit it in your team’s goal to score points. Whoever has the most points when the clock ticks down is declared the winner.

The game certainly looks the part, and it looks like it has some tricks up its sleeve too. You’ll upgrade and evolve your team as you fight, and there are different stadium to play in that offer different rules. And there’s Pikachu. Pikachu is pretty cool.

Pokemon Unite is slated to land on the App Store in September. For more information on the game, click here to check out its official website.
