If you cast your mind back to the summer, you may recall me getting excited about a then upcoming physics puzzler called Perchang. The instant I clapped eyes on the announcement trailer for the game, I had a feeling it was going to be something special. And it turns out my spidey sense was right on the money, because Perchang ended up being a huge success that hit it big with critics and players alike.
We haven’t gotten around to reviewing Perchang on iFanzine yet (sorry!), however, we did interview its developers shortly ahead of its release. That piece is a few months old at this point, but it’s still worth a read since the Perchang guys go into a lot of depth about the making of the game and the formation of their studio, in addition to dropping some tantalizing hints about future titles they’re working on.
Anyway, the reason I bring all this up is because, for the first time ever, Perchang has dropped in price from $1.99 to free. There’s no official word on a reason for this sudden free promotion, but the timing would seem to suggest that the game has been chosen by Apple as its ‘App of the Week.’ If that’s the case, the deal should be good through until at least next Thursday. Still, it’s probably advisable that you move on this freebie asap, just in case I’m wrong. You’ll find a link below.
