Omega Wars

Omega Wars Makes Meaningful Changes to the Clash Royale Formula, and You Can Get it Right Now on the App Store

Omega Wars is one of a kind in the sense that it mimics Clash Royale but actually makes meaningful changes to the formula. Imagine that?

You’ll still battle it out in real time against other players in a variety of different arenas. Your units, spells, and abilities all still appear as cards in a deck.

But, aside from a similarly cartoon aesthetic, that’s where the similarities end.

Omega Wars Lets You Merge Cards and Create a Bunch of Active and Passive Effects for Them Thanks to the Crafting System

The first big change is the ability to merge cards in battle. Good examples of this include dropping weaker units onto a tank to boost the tank’s offence, and dropping a slow moving behemoth into a tank to fire it directly into your opponent’s base.

There are plenty more combinations like that one, which provides an absolute ton of extra strategy.

Then there’s the card levelling system, which provides new passive and active abilities to cards instead of just boosting their statistics. In its most extreme form, you can actually create alternate forms of cards and swap between them on the fly in battle.

So it seems like a huge part of the experience here is in unsettling your opponent by being extremely unpredictable. That’s a lot more dynamic than Clash Royale’s, by comparison, static cards.

There are 1v1 and 2v2 arena battles, leaderboards to fight your way to the top of, and you can even battle in an AR mode. So plenty of content, basically.

You can grab Omega Wars right now from the App Store, and we strongly recommend you do so. It could very well topple Clash Royale.
