NieR is Going Mobile With NieR Re[in]carnation

Over the weekend Square Enix announced a chunk of new NieR information. It was all pretty exciting, but the best bit for mobile gamers was NieR Re[in]carnation. It’s a mobile exclusive game that’s set to come out for iOS and Android.

The game is being developed by Applibot, with character designs from Cydesignation of Cygames. There are plenty of NieR series alumni working on the game, including Yoko Taro, who’s acting as creative director.

We’ve not got much more info on the game right now, other than the trailer that we’ve embedded below. Give it a look over and see what you think.

There’s not much to go on, right? A lot of scenery, a few words and very little in the way of gameplay. If the game is like the rest of the NieR series, then you can expect lots of hacking and slashing.

You also probably noticed that there’s a lot of Japanese text in the trailer. That’s because so far the game has only been confirmed for Japan. It’s definitely the sort of game that should be under consideration for localisation, especially because of NiER’s worldwide appeal.

We will, of course, keep you up to date as and when we hear any more information about NiER Re[in]carnation, so make sure you keep checking back to iFanzine on the reg.
