Sports games are great. But sports games featuring cartoon characters are almost always better. If you share the same opinion, then today is an excellent day for you. Because Nickelodeon Extreme Tennis has just landed on Apple Arcade.
The game sees you picking a character from one of a number of different Nickelodeon toons, then smacking some balls about in a game of tennis. There are special skills, stupid ideas and plenty of slapstick fun to be had.
There are characters from SpongeBob, Rugrats, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and more to choose from. It’s sort of like Smash Bros. but instead of smashing you’re playing tennis. You get the idea, right?

Alongside the single player options, you can also take your skills online and play against other real life human people. Cartoon-based sports games are always better when you can play against other people in them. That’s just a fact.
