It’s been a long time coming, but Kabam’s mobile superhero MOBA Marvel Realm of Champions has finally landed on the App Store. So if you’re looking for some comics-based violence to keep you going this week, you’re definitely in luck.
The game could best be described as a MOBA-lite. You tool up your characters and then team up with other players to mash stuff up in a variety of different modes.
One of those modes sees you trying to control a capture point and then taking out bases. Another sees you teaming up against waves of AI attackers to protect a central node.
There’s a pretty big focus on customization, and piles and piles of loot to collect and equip to your champions. Different scrappers have different roles, and learning how to use their abilities to help your team is the key.
On top of all that, the game looks pretty gorgeous. And there’s already a big community of players, so you’re never waiting long to jump into the action. It’s interesting to compare Marvel Realm of Champions with League of Legends: Wild Rift, which is a much meatier take on the MOBA that just landed.
