Lords Mobile Developer IGG is Running a Castle Design Contest for Make A Wish

Christmas is a time for giving as well as receiving, and this year Lords Mobile developer IGG is getting us all into the spirit of the season with a Castle Design Contest.

It’s exactly what it sounds like. IGG is inviting players to design a castle skin to sell in its store, with a chunk of the proceeds going to Make A Wish International.

The theme is “Childhood Playground”, and the conditions of entry couldn’t be simpler. You’re free to design the castle of your dreams, save for a couple of minor restrictions: you can’t plagiarize other designs, and you can’t infringe any copyrights. Obvious really.

Once you’ve come up with your own unique architectural masterpiece, you can submit it through the event page in either .jpg or .png format. Just make sure the file is under 10MB.

After the submission phase ends on December 23rd, the busy bees at IGG will review the entries over Christmas, before revealing the finalists on the 26th. Players will be able to vote on these finalists, with the winner being the design that proves the most popular.

Skin in the game

Every aspiring architect who gets past the review stage, meanwhile, will get a Finalist Award for their efforts.

The voting phase ends on December 31st, after which IGG will use the winning submission as the basis for a skin that players can buy.

All proceeds for the first two weeks will go to Make A Wish International, and on top of that IGG will donate $10,000 for every 100,000 Instagram followers it signs up during the submission period.

Make A Wish was founded in 1980 to grant the wishes of children who are critically or terminally ill. So far it has managed to make over 480,000 wishes come true, from visiting Santa in Lapland to meeting astronaut Sir Tim Peake.

We can’t think of a worthier cause, so get involved right now.
