Dead by Daylight hasn’t been out on the App Store for that long, but it’s already received its first update. And that update brings the classic villain from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre to the game. That’s right, you can now chase your friends down as Leatherface.
If you’re not familiar with the game, here’s a quick rundown. It’s an asynchronous multiplayer experience. One player is a killer, the others are innocents trapped in their killing zone. The survivors need to escape, the killer needs to finish the job. Fun ensues.
Leatherface comes with his own perks and a new loadout that includes a massive sledgehammer and Bubba’s Chainsaw. But the new character isn’t the only thing that the new update has brought with it. There’s a brand new progression system as well.
This system replaces the Bloodweb that was previously in the game. Now you can earn XP for individual characters, which is going to make some players a lot happier.
On top of that, the new update adds a new costume. It’s called the Treacherous Waters Collection outfit and you can unlock it by spending in-game currency. So all-in-all that’s a pretty big chunk of new bits and bobs that have been added to Dead by Daylight Mobile.
