It’s been a long time coming, but the mobile version of the world-smashing MOBA League of Legends has finally landed in certain App Store regions. There’s some bad news, though – North America isn’t one of them.
Still, if you live in Europe, Turkey, Russia, CIS, the Middle East or North Africa you’re in luck. You can grab the built-from-the-ground-up-for-mobile League of Legends: Wild Rift from the App Store right this second.
Riot Games has put a lot of work into making sure the game works well on touchscreen. There’s new controls, a refreshed UI and plenty of tutorials if you’re new to the genre.
Much like its PC older sibling, the game is free to play. But you can unlock everything through play. You’re going to be scrapping against other players – that’s what the M stands for in MOBA – and there’s some neat matchmaking going on to make sure everything’s fair and balanced.
League of Legends: Wild Rift is one of the biggest mobile releases of the year, and it’s great that players around the world are finally getting the chance to get their digits on it. Sorry if you’re based in North America, but we’ll let you know as soon as the game lands there, don’t you worry.
