Gameloft and Lamborghini have announced an upcoming eSports challenge in Asphalt 9: Legends. It’s called the Lamborghini Essenza SCV12 Challenge, and it sees players competing to win shiny goodies from Lamborghini by racing digital versions of one of the most powerful cars ever made.
The event kicks off on May 13th, with the first of three qualifying rounds. After that there’ll be another playoff round, culminating in a big final event that will be broadcast live on September 18th. Only 40 Essenzas were ever made, and it’s capable of ouputting more than 830bhp. That’s a lot of bhp
The Asphalt series recently passed the 1 billion download mark, which is a lot of downloads however you look at it. The series has gone from strength to strength in recent times, with plenty of events like this one keeping its popularity high.
