Interview With Hidden Variable Studios

Finally, has the team started kicking around ideas for future projects? Anything you can share with us in that regard yet?

We have a ton of ideas! In fact, we have meetings every week where the team brings new ideas to the table, and some of those ideas come from very strange and wondrous places. However, we’re always looking to go back to our core of bringing out the magical in the everyday, and as such, we want to ensure that all of our future titles accomplish this goal.

Everything is still early in development, so unfortunately we’re not at the point where we would share any of these details. Part of the process is prototyping and working through ideas in their early stages. It is critical to discover if the “fun potential” is there before we really dig in and make the investment of time and energy. That said, our primary focus at the moment is to continue supporting and providing lasting value for Bag It!

We look forward to sharing more in the coming months!

Our thanks goes to Hidden Variable co-founder David Marino for taking the time to answer our questions, and to Jason Andersen for facilitating. Bag It! releases November 17 worldwide. We’ll have a review then; here’s the developer’s website, Facebook page, and Twitter feed so you can find out more in the meantime!
