You’ll no doubtedly find this guide useful if you’ve just started playing the game. Don’t worry if you’re a returning Hole.io gamer – there’s bound to be something helpful in here for you too! Now, without further ado, let’s dive into the guide at hand…

Hole.io Guide

To recap: the aim of Hole.io is to become the biggest black hole on the leaderboard with the most points. You’ll be competing against other black holes, controlled by other players. Be careful – they can devour you if they’re bigger than you!

Parks Are Your Friends

When you first start out, you’re relatively small, meaning you can only devour items that are smaller than you. Unfortunately, being in the city, most of the objects are huge skyscrapers and big buildings.

This is why parks are your friends – parks are neat little nuggests of areas that have a bunch of small items in them, such as benches, shrubs, slides etc. If you find a park, you’ll be pretty big by the time you’re finished devouring everything inside of it!

Swallow Your Enemies

You’ll notice that once you’re big enough, other players will start avoiding you. This is because you can easily devour them if you’re the bigger black hole.

Swallowing your enemies is not only a great way to gain even more points, but it’s also great for batting down anyone who’s upcoming on the leaderboards. This is because once you swallow them, their points reset, and they go back to being a tiny black hole.

There’s Always A Bigger Fish

You might get carried away in the heat of the moment, so just remember: there’s always a bigger fish! Unless you’re at the top of the leaderboard, make sure you avoid any black hole that is bigger than you. We recommend that you do this because, just like how you can eat smaller black holes, bigger ones can eat you, too!

A golden rule to live by in this game is that, unless you’re at the top of the leaderboards, you’re always on the menu.
