In a recent press conference, Square Enix released a new trailer for its upcoming portable reimagining of the Just Cause series – Just Cause: Mobile. As you might imagine, it’s packed full of explosions, so we thought it was important to break down everything that explodes during the 1:24 runtime.
- Rockets – Not just any rockets though, these are rockets being ridden into battle like surfboards by what we imagine are going to be the game’s protagonists.
- A helicopter – This explodes in mid-air after one of our heroes grappling hooks onto it.
- A building – Slightly disappointingly, this building explodes because someone fires a missile at it.
- A wall – Probably the coolest explosion in the trailer. The heroes pose, surrounded, then a wall explodes and in pour more combatants. Super cool.
- A generator – This glowing silver thing seems to be the focus of the protagonist’s ire, so it gets well blown up.
- A human man – Said human man, who is bald and wearing glasses, is apparently one of the reasons that the generator explodes. We imagine he’s a bad guy.
- An entire complex of buildings – These all explode because the generator explodes. Explosions leading to explosions in endless cycles of explosion. Just what the doctor ordered.
By our reckoning that’s more than one explosion every ten seconds. There are also lots of other smaller explosions, which you can count if you’d like, but we’re busy. Here’s the trailer so you can see all of the explosions for yourself.
