We’re all for games that try and do things differently here at iFanzine. That’s why we’re pretty intrigued by Heck Deck. it’s a game that mixes deck-building tactics and bullet hell shooting dexterity into a heady brew.
The game is spread across five different levels, each with its own style and soundtrack. You’re adding cards to your deck as you battle, but they cost health points. You need to balance your powers with your vulnerability.
Otherwise, when it comes to the shooting, you’re going to find yourself susceptible to getting blown to pieces. Here’s a trailer to give you some idea of what to expect.
There’s definitely a lot to like here, and there’s a decent level of challenge as well. The game started off as a game jam concept, but there’s a chunky experience here that’s just waiting to be explored.
