MiHoYo has announced that its holding a concert to celebrate the first anniversary of its smash hit open world ARPG, Genshin Impact. It’s called Genshin Concert 2021 – Melodies of an Endless Journey, and it’s happening on October 3rd.
The concert will feature performances from Belgian conductor Maestro Dirk Brossé and the Flanders Symphony Orchestra. They’ll be performing music from the game’s soundtrack by Yu-Peng Chen and HOYO-MiX.
There’ll also be appearances by other artists and musicians from around the world playing their own renditions of songs from the game. Here’s a trailer for the event that landed at Gamescom.
“We’ve been experimenting with varied cultural elements in Genshin Impact’s music in the past and present, and will continue to do so in the future,” said Yu-Peng Chen, Composer and Music Producer of HOYO-MiX.
The concert will be free to watch online for all players and interested viewers. Sounds like an interesting way to celebrate the success of one of the biggest games of the past 12 months to us.
