It’s been a long time coming, but Forza Street has finally landed on the App Store. The game, which sees you collecting supercars and racing them in the streets, is downloadable right now for free. What can you expect when you install it?
Well, you can expect CSR-style drag races with a couple of twists. For one thing you’re not changing gears, you’re braking and accelerating through corners. And there are some amazing cinematic camera angles to keep your eyes entertained too.
Within the first couple of hours you’ll already have a pretty packed garage. There are different kinds of cars, and you’ll need to have a balanced collection. Certain races need certain styles of car, and you won’t be able to compete if you don’t have one.
If you’re expecting the full Forza in the palm of your hand then you’re going to be disappointed. This is a midcore experience that’s designed to appeal to as many people as possible. Tweaking your engine and shaving milliseconds off your lap times isn’t the order of the day here.
However, if you’re after a slick auto-driving experience with some gorgeous visuals and a boat-load of cars to collect then you’re in for a treat. Spend some time with the game and you’ll realise just how compulsive it is.
