An owl just arrived at iFanzine’s window with an intriguing press release from Warner Bros. That’s right muggles, everybody’s favorite boy wizard, Harry Potter, is being magicked onto iPhone by TT Games and LEGO just in time to coincide with the eagerly anticipated cinema release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!
From the press release: LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 will bring the world of LEGO Harry Potter to life on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, giving gamers the power to play with LEGO characters and models in a brand new way. Based on the first four Harry Potter books and movies, LEGO Harry Potter builds on the foundations of previous LEGO videogames by offering a mix of fun, accessible gameplay and light-hearted humour – which appeals to all ages. Players will explore and feel as though they are at Hogwarts.
Potter, and indeed LEGO, have a legion of fans around the world, so undoubtedly this will be a hit when it arrives on iDevices over the holiday season. Also, hopefully its success will spell the arrival of more LEGO games on the App Store (Star Wars, Batman, Indiana Jones et al).
