Find Out Everything You Need to Know About Pokemon Go Fest 2020 Right Here

Niantic has revealed all of the details you need to know about the upcoming Pokemon Go Fest 2020. Obviously this year’s fest is going to be a little different, being virtual due to the Covid-19 pandemic. That doesn’t mean there isn’t loads of exclusive fun to be had though. And we’ve got everything you need to know right here.

First thing’s first – you’re going to need a ticket to get the most out of Pokemon Go Fest 2020. You can purchase tickets from the app right now. You can buy them from the in-app shop and they’ll set you back $14.99.

Trainers with tickets will get full access to all of the treats and events in Pokemon Go Fest 2020. The festival itself lasts for two days. It starts on Saturday, July 25th and runs until Sunday, July 26th. One ticket will get you access to both days.

On both days there are Special Research stories to complete. You’ll only be able to access the first story on day one and the second story on day two. Day one will also feature five rotating habitats – fire, water, grass, battle and friendship – where you’ll be able to catch Pokemon themed around those habitats.

Another treat comes in the form of the Global Challenge Arena. Here you’ll be able to join forces with other trainers to complete hourly challenges for impressive rewards. The festival runs from 10am to 8pm local time, so you’ll have plenty to do in those hours.

What’s happening on day two? Well, Niantic is keeping that under its hat. It’s guaranteeing something special and unique, but it’s not revealing what it’s going to be until the day itself. There’ll be another Special Research event for you to play through as well.

In the lead up to the festival itself, you can expect loads of Timed Research events. These are going to unlock even more Pokemon for the event. There are more details coming in the next few weeks about what those Timed Research events will entail.

There’s even more to discover, including exclusive T-shirts and super-interesting sounding papercraft downloads. You can check all of that out by clicking right here and heading over to the official Pokemon Go website.
