Everything You Need to Know About The Latest Call of Duty: Mobile Update

Everyone’s favourite mobile military shooter, Call of Duty: Mobile, has been updated again. Version 1.0.11, which is called the Steel Meltdown update, brings with it support for the game’s next season. On top of that there are some new goodies for you to unlock and play with.

The game’s new season begins on April 1st and runs to June 1st, and this update is to prepare the way for that. However your download will also bag you new characters, maps and more. Perhaps the biggest addition is the Meltdown map. You can check out the video we’ve embedded below to get a feel of how it’ll play.

You’re also going to get two new game modes to play on Meltdown. Namely Gun Game: Team Fight and 2v2 Showdown. There have also been some tweaks to the game’s battle royale mode, if shooting people in an ever shrinking ring is your cup of tea.

There’s a new character as well, in the shape of Lt Commander David Mason. Apparently he’s in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. He’s available in the premium battlepass. There are new rewards for both premium and free battlepass players.

You’ll also be getting industrial revolution themed rewards for working your way up the leaderboards. As you might imagine with an update this big, you’re going to need a big chunk of memory to get it. The App Store lists the download size as more than 2GB, so that’s worth taking into consideration.

If that hasn’t put you off, you can click here to grab Call of Duty: Mobile, new update and all, from the App Store.
