The latest update to the smash hit team-battler Marvel Future Fight has added some new characters from a number of massive comic book crossovers. Alongside new characters and uniforms, there’s a whole host of gameplay tweaks that are going to make the game even more exciting. Here’s everything you need to know about the House of X and Powers of X update.
The new characters you’re going to be able to unlock are Professor X, Mystique and Mister Sinister. All three are themed around the House of X – a comic book storyline that saw the X-men and other mutants starting a new world order from the island of Krakoa.
Other characters are also getting new themed uniforms. You can unlock House of X costumes for Magneto and Wolverine, a Marvel Girl outfit for Jean Grey and a Nimrod the Lesser get-up for Sentinel.
On top of that there are new ultimate skills for Professor X, who can also be upgraded to Tier-3. The Awaken Potential feature has been unlocked for Mystique, as well as the Realize Potential feature for her, Professor X and Mister Sinister.

Away from character updates, there have been tweaks to the S.H.I.E.L.D Academy Mission and the game’s tutorials too. If that wasn’t enough there’s a new game mode included in the update as well.Â
The new mode is called Squad Battle and sees you building a team of qualifying heroes to go into battle against other players. There’s a league-based progression system, with better rewards the higher up the leagues that you finish. There’ll be demotion as well though, so you’re going to have to put the work in if you want the best goodies.
