Elder Scrolls: Blades Has Just Entered Early Access on the App Store

Bethesda’s upcoming dungeon crawler Elder Scrolls: Blades has just entered early access on the App Store, where those who received an invitation can check it out right now.

That’s exciting news, as the RPG has suffered from delay after delay since first being announced during E3 2018. Bethesda finally clarified its launch plans only this month, with a spring early access period across iOS and Android followed by the full launch this summer.

That early access period has now started. That’s pretty impressive timing given that spring only started a week ago.

Elder Scrolls: Blades is a Mobile Exclusive Entry in the RPG Franchise

If you haven’t heard of this yet, it’s a mobile exclusive entry in the Elder Scrolls franchise that sees you play as a member of the Blades: a group of soldiers tasked with defending the Empire.

The plot details the Blades’ fall from grace. You play as a member of the group who has to rebuild it to its former glory. That involves battling through dungeons, gathering loot, and equipping new weapons and gear.

You’ll also rebuild your home town using the gold you gather on your adventures. Because it wouldn’t be a mobile game without a town building mini-game, would it?

When the game fully launches, there will be a PvP component too. Sadly, that isn’t available during the early access period though. If you received an invitation to check it out, go ahead and grab it right now in the App Store. If not, you can still register on the official site to get a chance at an invitation during the next round.
