Dadish 2 is all about a radish who is also a dad. It’s a retro platformer that sees you leaping through a series of challenging levels to rescue all of your many, many children. Not that they really need rescuing, more so you can keep an eye on them.
The game features simple controls – tap one side of the screen to move left and right, tap the other to jump and double jump. You need to avoid enemies, jump past spikes, and solve some simple puzzles along the way.
There’s an awful lot of heart and humor here, and the dialogue between radish dad and his kids is guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Don’t be fooled though, the gameplay is actually really challenging. Like, teeth-gnashing challenging sometimes.
There are some really bright ideas here – from boss fights to hidden stars – and while it isn’t the most original game in the world, it’s so well put together that it’s hard to complain. Dadish 2 never feels like it’s trying too hard, and you’re going to fall in love with it because of that.
