If you’ve been champing at the bit to get your hands on Crash’s first mobile outing, then you can stop doing that. Because Crash Bandicoot: On The Run is out now on the App Store. And we reckon it’s worth checking out.
The game sees you taking control of the bright orange marsupial and pelting it down a series of auto-running levels. You need to smash crates, avoid obstacles and jump over caverns, before taking down tricksy bosses with special potions.
The heart of the game is going to be very familiar to anyone who’s played an auto-runner before. There are three lanes, and you’re in control of jumping, ducking and smashing anything that you can. It’s light, it’s fun and it looks pretty good as well.
There are loads of different skins to collect, teams to join and achievements to unlock. The story bubbles along under everything, but you’re probably not going to pay that much attention to it. The fun here springs up from the ease with which you can dive back into the action.
