Classic Action Heroes Coming to Call of Duty: Mobile Later This Month

Activision has revealed that some legends of 1980’s action cinema are coming to Call of Duty: Mobile later this month. In an event called 80’s Action Heroes, it looks like you’re going to be able to play as Rambo and John McClane. Which is pretty awesome.

The event was unveiled in a tweet, which you can check out by clicking here. The image, which is at the top of this article, shows Rambo looking angular and Nakatomi Plaza, the setting for Bruce Willis’s Christmas smash hit, Die Hard.

It also revealed that 80’s Action Heroes is set to kick off on May 20th, which is just under a week away. Quite what the event is going to involve – other than lots of shooting and sweaty vests – isn’t clear. But we imagine it’ll be amazing.

Heroes, all

Rambo and McClane aren’t just coming to Call of Duty: Mobile though. The event is set to take place in Call of Duty: Warzone and Black Ops Cold War as well. So there’s plenty of places to get your fix of action in the coming weeks.

If it was us choosing, we’d also include John Matrix from Commando, Rachenko from Red Scorpion, Gibson Rickenbacker from Cyborg and throw in Murphy from Robocop too. It’s not up to us though, which is a shame.

You can download Call of Duty: Mobile from the App Store by clicking here. There aren’t any 80’s Action Heroes in it yet, but it’s still one of the best mobile shooters, and it won’t cost you a thing to give it a go.
