Aaaaaah, Metal Slug. What a wonderful game. Y’know, if you like action movie references, massive boss battles and gorgeous silliness. It has a special place in our hearts. Which made us even more excited when Timi released a trailer for its upcoming mobile version of the game.
It looks set to feature everything we love about the Metal Slug games, as well as an interesting new art style that manages to capture the feel of the classic games in the series while updating it for more discerning modern eyes.
There definitely seems to be the requisite level of silliness as well. We’re going to stop waffling now and embed the trailer so you can see it for yourselves. We’d definitely recommend giving it a watch or two.
Apparently the game is going to include a bunch of different modes, plenty of different weapons, massive boss battles and a progression system that encourages exploration. There’s also parachuting, destructible environments and magnetic ceilings. Because why not.
There’s no release schedule for the game yet, but we do know that it’s scheduled to come to iOS and Android. We will, of course, keep you up to date as and when we find out more about the game. In the meantime, let’s watch the trailer again, shall we?
