Over the weekend, two new games hit Apple Arcade. There’s a hack-and-slash ARPG based on a classic franchise and a match-stuff puzzler built around a legendary mobile title. And both of them are pretty good.
First up we’ve got Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls. It’s a side-scrolling action adventure game that sees you slicing up a variety of different horrors, collecting new characters and weapons and having a lovely, if slightly gloomy old time.

The second new release comes in the shape of Temple Run: Puzzle Adventure. Unlike the other games in the Temple Run series, this one isn’t an auto-runner where you’re stealing stuff from an angry monkey. Instead you’re matching gems to clear them from a board and earn stars.
All told, the game is a pretty standard matching puzzler. It doesn’t have many fresh ideas, but it’s entertaining enough if you’re looking for a well put together gem-swiping experience. Click here and you can download Temple Run: Puzzle Adventure from the App Store.
