Call of Duty: Warzone Could be Heading to Mobile

A now deleted job listing spotted by CharlieIntel suggests that the super popular CoD version of battle royale could be heading to a mobile phone near you sometime soon. That’s something to get excited about, we reckon.

Call of Duty: Mobile has been doing brilliantly since it landed on mobile, so it makes sense for Activision to be looking for new ways to get portable CoD players excited. And Warzone would definitely do that.

The game has been doing great guns on console and PC, blending the battle royale genre with CoD’s action packed gameplay to create something thrilling and super engaging. And we’d love to see that on mobile.

Since Warzone is available within Modern Warfare, we’d expect to see something similar happening with the mobile version. There’s already a battle royale mode in Call of Duty: Mobile after all, so replacing it with a mobile Warzone shouldn’t be too tough.

Call of Duty: Mobile works brilliantly on touchscreens and has shown just how compelling shooters can be on mobile if they’re done right. If the job-listing is to be believed, then hopefully we’ll see the mobile version of Warzone doing the same.

What do you think? Are you excited that Warzone might be coming to mobile? Do you think the battle royale genre is already over represented on the App Store? Whichever way you’re leaning, make sure you let us know in the comments section at the bottom of this paragraph.
