Battlepalooza is a battle royale, but it’s added a bunch of twists to the formula to make a more accessible experience. There are shades of MOBAs and RPGs here, and a combat system built around strategy, skill and a little bit of luck.
The game throws you into a televised fight to the death. Up to 24 players are competing to be the last person standing. You can play on your own, or with a squad of one or two other players.
Unlike a lot of other BR games, this one uses a top down view. You collect skills, powers and weapons, and need to equip the best gear that you’ve earned if you want to come out on top.
We’ve embedded a trailer below so you can get a better idea about the game before it launches.
Interestingly, Battlepalooza is set in real-life cities. The team at nWay has collaborated Google’s Real-World Games department to turn real-world cities into battle arenas. The first two included are Las Vegas and San Francisco, with more on the way.
