It’s that time of year, when games start getting crowned as the best new releases of the past 12 months. And that’s exactly what Apple has done, revealing its best iPhone, iPad and Apple Arcade games of 2021. And throwing in an award for trend of the year as well, because it’s Apple and it does what it wants.
So here are the games that have won the awards this time round.
iPhone Game of the Year – League of Legends: Wild Rift
The iPhone award this year goes to League of Legends: Wild Rift. We think that’s pretty fair. It’s an amazing MOBA that’s packed full of brilliant ideas, and still manages to be loads of fun to be play in the palm of your hand. iPad Game of the Year – Marvel Future Revolution
This year’s iPad game of the year is Marvel Future Revolution. It’s an interesting choice, and probably not the game we would have picked. Apple Arcade Game of the Year – Fantasian

Trend of the Year – Connection – Among Us
