Dead Cells is, without a doubt, one of the best action games in recent memory. And right now you can pick it up for the lowest price it’s even been on the App Store.
The game mixes together roguelike elements with a metroidvania style to create something pretty darn unique. You’re hacking and slashing your way through a castle, learning new skills as you go. And then you’ll die.
But that’s far from the end of the experience. Every death is a learning experience. You’ll open up new avenues to explore, figure out how to take down tougher enemies and decide what to do next.
The game features some of the most impressive combat you’re ever likely to set eyes on. It’s fast and frantic but decidedly measured at the same time. There’s controller support too, which is definitely a tick in a box for some people.
Earlier this week, Playdigious announced that the mobile version of the game is getting updated regularly over the next few months to bring it in line with the console versions of the game too. So really, there’s never been a better time to grab it.
