Acclaimed SPRG King’s Raid has reached the end of its Pandemonium storyline

We like King’s Raid. In a world of joyless mobile RPGs Vespa’s game is a beacon of polished, addictive, side-scrolling joy, which presumably explain why it has managed to break into the top 10 in almost 70 different territories.

The game sees you collecting heroes and building teams, before heading onto the battlefield for some colorful combat. There’s PvP, PvE, boss raids, dungeons, various guild modes, and much more.

If you’re a follower of the King’s Raid saga so far, today is a momentous day, as the Pandemonium story arc has reached its conclusion. Chapter 9.5 is out, making way for the next season in the coming months.

But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. In Chapter 9, we saw Kasel, a.k.a. The Knight of the Holy Sword, falling into darkness in the land of the dead – an ominous place which was the venue for the battle with the Dark Lord a hundred years earlier.

Kasel is still in the soup as Chapter 9.5 opens, but things are looking up: the heroes are out to rescue him, and we suspect there will eventually be a happy ending. In any case, it’s a thrilling end to an engaging storyline.

The latest chapter a handful of new gameplay features too. Most significantly, there’s a new Class Buff system. You earn Class Points whenever you acquire or upgrade a hero, and Buff Points which you can apply to a specific class.

Confused? Here’s how it works. Say you gain an archer – this will give you Buff Points that you can use to upgrade your entire archer class. This buff applies to PvE and PvP, as well as defensive and offensive stats.

Vespa has also applied a number tweaks to the Ancient Royal Vault, Upper Dungeon, Stockade, Conquest, and more. Plus, the levelling up system for skills has had an overhaul too, so you’ve got plenty to keep you on your toes as you see out Pandemonium.

King’s Raid is available to download right now on Google Play and the App Store.
