Help Kickstart a Mobile Edition of the Seriously Fast-Paced and Fun ‘Squishy Finger Frenzy’

Adrian Rodriguez recently completed his dream of learning how to produce games, resulting in him — with the help of his family — creating a game known as Squishy Finger Frenzy. In the game players are faced with various falling shapes — known as Squishies — that are rapidly falling from the top of the screen, as well as a timer that is perpetually counting down towards oblivion. However, each successfully caught Squishy will not only raise the player’s score — but add time back to the timer as well — unfortunately this also causes all future Squishes to begin plummeting even faster than before. Afterwards all performances will be saved to an arcade style high score list, so that everyone will know whether or not you’re the absolute top-notch Squishy squasher that ever lived.

Adrian Rodriguez — after finishing his Unity project — discovered something that many indie mobile developers are all too familiar with: you must pay a licensing fee to release things on iTunes, which is a problem when you planned to give your app away for free. Not content to only release a PC edition of Squishy Finger Frenzy over at GameJolt, Adrian turned towards Kickstarter with a humble request for $150 so that he could afford to release the game on mobile devices as originally intended. Although five members of Kickstarter’s gracious community have already provided the minimum amount required, there’s still seventeen days remaining should anyone else be interested in helping out.

Although no pledge tier includes a copy of the game itself — since Squishy Finger Frenzy will soon be released for free, with absolutely no IAPs — you can still have your name forever immortalized in the app’s credits via a pledge of just $5. Meanwhile — for those whom provide further help – you can also receive: Beta access to the upcoming sequel, or even have your own face appear in-game as a Squishy (complete with custom sound). However, should you now find yourself interested in helping out Adrian — and possibly even uploading your friend’s face, so that you may splatter it forever more — then it’s utterly vital you remember that Squishy Finger Frenzy’s Kickstarter closes on May 1st.
