Prune turns one soon, and developer Joel McDonald has decided to mark the occasion by trimming a massive 75% off the game’s price tag. This means that this gorgeously unique puzzler can currently be had for just $0.99 (down from $3.99). Which, unless I’m mistaken, is the cheapest it’s ever been!
If you’re wondering whether Prune is worth your hard-earned $0.99, I can tell you in no uncertain terms, it is. You don’t just have to take my word for it though. The game has racked up a ton of favorable reviews since release, with Pocket Gamer calling it “an awe-inspiring work of digital poetry” and Entertainment Weekly saying, “(it’s) wildly creative, totally addictive, and oddly soothing.” Apple also selected it as their ‘iPad Game of the Year,’ as did Time magazine.
