An Enhanced Remake of ‘Heart Star’ Is Headed to iOS

It’s probably no secret to our longtime-readers that we’re big fans of Jussi Simpanen’s work, but — then again — the fact that both Tiny Dangerous Dungeons (our review) and Duke Dashington (our review) made our 2015 Best Games list was likely a big hint. Therefore we’re quite overjoyed to announce that Jussi Simpanen has been hard at work porting yet another of his earlier flash-based titles — again with upgraded-features, enhanced-artwork, and even more levels — over to the iOS App Store! Even better yet — keeping in line with other recent releases by Jussi Simpanen — his latest app is set to be offered for absolutely free, funded purely by in-game ads (rather than coercive IAPs).

Although each of them may only stand on the matching-blocks which exist within their personal world, these two are further gifted with the ability to stand on each other’s head (and even be carried around in this manner). Via swapping between the two heroes you’ll need to lead the both of them safely to each and every stage’s exit, a feat that will simultaneously test your platform-jumping and puzzle-solving prowess.

The flash-original for Heart Star — which was first produced for Ludum Dare — was already a great game, and as such you can certainly look forward to our review of Jussi Simpanen’s expanded-version when it hits the App Store later this year!
