We’ll be posting a full ‘how-to’ guide for using groups and forums this weekend, but in the meantime here’s a handy tutorial for embedding video and pics in your comments and forum posts.

All you need to do to embed a video or picture is post the URL to it into your content area and make sure that the URL is on its own line.

For example:

Check out this cool video:

That was a cool video.

Our nifty system will automatically turn the URL into a YouTube embed when the post is viewed.

At present, you can embed content from the following sites:

YouTube (only public videos – “unlisted” and “private” videos will not embed)
Vimeo
DailyMotion
blip.tv
Flickr (both videos and images)
Viddler
Hulu
Qik
Revision3
Scribd
Photobucket
PollDaddy
WordPress.tv (only VideoPress-type videos for the time being)
