‘Garfield Kart’ Revs onto iOS Devices this October

While Garfield may have a name for being a bit of a lazy so-and-so, he’s certainly no slouch when it comes to headlining a diverse array of video games. The latest iOS bound title set to star the lasagne-loving kitty cat is Anuman Interactive’s Garfield Kart.

Gearing up for an October release, this Mario Kart-style racer will feature a roster of classic Garfield characters (Jon, Odie, Nermal and many others), 16 tracks in varied environments with alternative paths, customizable looks and unlockable skills for all the racers, and much more. Perhaps most interesting, though, is the fact that Garfield Kart will boast cross-platform local/online multiplayer, meaning as well as battling it out amongst themselves, iOS gamers will be able to take on friends who are playing the PC, Mac or Android versions of the game.

Eric Nguyen, Marketing Director at Anuman Interactive, seems genuinely excited about Garfield Kart, especially the game’s nifty sounding multiplayer component:

GK_Ingame001Garfield Kart is one of the most important projects developed by Anuman Interactive. All the components are gathered to guarantee fun and laughter for players of any age and profile.

We are also very proud to be able to have users of PC, Mac, iPad, iPhone and Android play together online or locally.

ETA: Garfield Kart is scheduled for release sometime in October, 2013. We’ll be sure to bring you more news on this fantastic looking game as it comes to us. In the meantime, you can keep an eye on Anuman Interactive’s site for additional information and announcements.
