First Look: The Dark Meadow, New Trailer & Concept Art!

You don’t even need all the fingers of one hand to count the number of genuinely scary survival horror games on iOS. Let’s see, we’ve got Dead Space, Prisoner 84, and… that’s about it really.

As a big fan of the genre, I’m really, really hoping I’ll be able to add Phosphor Games’ The Dark Meadow to that list when it arrives on the App Store early next month. Phospor most certainly talk the talk in their latest press release which just landed along with a full-length trailer and a batch of creepy concept art for the game:

With its App Store release fast approaching, gamers will soon have the opportunity to experience a next-gen console-like game on their iOS device. The Dark Meadow is a first-person action/adventure title backed by an unbounded story of intrigue, regret and revenge, and a navigation scheme and in-game combat similar to its spiritual predecessor, Infinity Blade — all backed by the graphic horsepower of the Unreal Engine 3.

Oooh, so The Dark Meadow will feature gory close-quarters combat, a super compelling plot, and beautiful grotesque Unreal Engine-powered eye-candy? Sweet! Count me in!

Check out the game’s official site for more information (if you dare!) and stay tuned for a full review shortly after October 6th.
