As you may have noticed, we gave iFanzine a bit of a facelift over the weekend (adding cool stuff like a new and improved featured content slider, a simplified search box, super-handy social networking icons etc, etc), and to celebrate we’re throwing a giveaway of truly EPIC proportions! Up for grabs this time ’round we’ve got… well, pretty much every major new iOS game that released during the week, actually! This dazzling array of must-have prizes includes Wild Blood, Avengers Initiative, HUEBRIX and the freshly updated Plants vs. Zombies! Here’s a little more info on what you can win –
Wild Blood: It’s been a looong time coming, but the first Gameloft title to harness the power of the revolutionary Unreal Engine, Wild Blood (Out Now, $6.99), was most definitely worth waiting for! This action-packed take on Arthurian legend pits Sir Lancelot against evil sorceress Morgana Le Fey and an army of demonic enemies. Highlights include a lengthy single-player campaign, breathtaking visuals — did you expect anything less? — and a suitably epic multiplayer mode.
Avengers Initiative:Â As we surmised a few weeks ago, Marvel’s much-hyped new game is a Hulk-centric action-adventure. Avengers Initiative (Out Now, $6.99) puts players in control of everyone’s favorite “big green rage monster” and boasts a ton of Infinity Blade-esque battles against iconic villains like Wendigo, Abomination, The Kronan, and The Skrulls! Best of all, though? This is just the first in an episodic series, and free (!) installments starring other members of the superhero team are expected to hit the App Store soon. A must-have for Marvelites. ‘Nuff said.
HUEBRIX: Yellow Monkey Studios’ latest professes to “bring the Puzzle back to Puzzle Games.” And, yeah, it seems as if they’ve managed to live up to that bold claim with this one — iCritics everywhere are falling over themselves to pronounce HUEBRIX (Out Now, $0.99) an instant genre classic; with The Guardian gushing “(HUEBRIX ) has the potential to develop into a full-blown hours-a-day addiction” and Gamezebo praising the puzzler’s “original gameplay” and “bold difficulty.”
Plants vs. Zombies: I’m guessing PopCap’s multi-award winning action strategy game probably needs no introduction, right? Plants vs. Zombies (Out Now, $2.99) did just receive a monster-sized new content update though, so we figured it was high time we popped a copy of the iPhone/iPod Touch version of this stone cold classic in the iFanzine prize-bag. Aww, aren’t we nice?
