I am following both iFanzine and MadOBall3D. I also retweeted this post.
Mad O Ball 3D just went free in association with FAAD, so if you haven’t done so already grab this great game now! And have a go a beating the dev’s scores on OpenFeint too…obviously
RTed @JCman7
Cheers!
OK – devs annihilated
Does this mean I have to get one of these twittery thingies to claim my prize (should I continue to be in the top 3, of course…). I don’t normally bother with that kind of stuff.
Btw, this is a very good game but incomplete imho.
it needs a proper scoring system over and above the OpenFeint frippery.
Check out Bike or Die – the game is superb, but what makes it is the interactive website. You can upload your games and see them replayed – do head to had replays against competitors, comment on each others games, and there’s a points system, overall rankings, forums etc, etc.
Perhaps you should get in touch with Sz (the dev), and come to some arrangement
Head to head…
Oh and btw (sorry for triple post), didn’t realise my full name was going to appear, can you please change it to the above?
Hey Andrew, congrats! Yeah, a Twitter account is necessary to complete all the steps, just so the devs can cross reference your OpenFeint account/username.
I’ll definitely look into Bike or Die too, sounds like it might be perfect for a similar sort of challenge in the future. Thanks for the recommendation. Oh, and edited your name as requested.
Cheers for getting back, thanks for the name change – do PLAY BoD (I’m not affiliated in any way), it’s difficult at first, it’s been around for 5ish years… It wasn’t designed for the short attention span era – but when you get an understanding of the controls and start sprinting up the HoF (Hall of Fame), uploading your games, etc – you realise there is a depth that is missing in any other online game.
Your game could go the same way without alienating the ‘casual’ gamer. I have ideas for how that might work for you, but…
This isn’t the place.
Will be in touch if you’re interested. Just ask.
Oh – and don’t think I’ll bother with the Twitterbook thingy…
Andrew
Come on guys, you should just follow Mad O Ball on twitter, RT this post, and connect your twitter account to the OF one, is just a couple of simple steps!
@AndrewRA It’s sounds you are not so interested in the 20$ iTunes Gift
You did a SUPER SCORE, quite unbeatable, I tried my self and I couldn’t after many many tries
so you are basically the almost sure winner here.
Still the 3rd place is open I see, so I’m sure there’s is still battle for the 2nd and 3rd place here.
We are trying to publish the leaderboard on the web but we are having some issues,
in the mean time, this the current Status on the OF Leaderboard:
1st: AndrewRA 1’03”.47
2nd: Food Critic 1’12”.27
3rd: Tumasin 1’12”.53
4th: Player 34574873 1’14”.18
5th: drewer 1’17”.67
Ok – think I’ve managed to Retweet this
[...] the 30th, you score a $20 iTunes Gift Card. For full details of this contest, please click here. Best of luck to everyone, and stay tuned to iFanzine for more great [...]
It’s been an emotional rollercoaster…and now the challenge is officially over. AndrewRA, Joshua K and Food Critic all managed to smash the Mad O Ball Devs’ scores! Really, really well done guys. Drop me a line here, on twitter, or via email (ifanzine@gmail.com), and we’ll fix you up with iTunes gift cards asap
It’s been fun
.
Being based in the UK (Edinburgh, Scotland), a voucher in dollars in no use to me (the glory is sufficient…;)) – please either split it between the other two winners, or award it to the 4th place, whichever you see fit.
Cheers
Oh, and I have 21 out of 32 1st places now (not that I’m bragging or anything…)
Just took well over 3 seconds off Track 1 – and believe me, it wasn’t Easypeesy!
Hehe, nice work! You’re a Mad ‘O’ Ball pro mate!! I’ll have a chat with the guys and our sponsor and see if we can sort you out with some kind of prize
We do also have another challenge on the go at the moment, which you might be interested in: http://ifanzine.com/braintaire-challenge-2-win-an-ipad-ipod-touch-more …not much competition for the top prizes as of yet either
Appreciate the thought, but not necessary.
I also think you devs have (real)
times so much faster than mine it would be a travesty to continue to pander to the notion that I’m even a half decent player.
Send me your real best scores.
I’ll have a go
Dammit! I couldn’t do it!
I hope for a new contest, maybe on another track !!!
Congrats to the winners
Ok. Closing times!
Here you find the closing top 30 chart:

Congrats to AndrewRA, Joshua_K, Food Critic for winning the 3 codes!
After this competition and the FAAD promotion, we have now more than 25 scores posted on West tracks every day!
I’d like to thanks again iFanzine and Cardscout24.us for supporting and sponsoring the competition.
Stay tuned on iFanzine website and TouchArcade forums for new competitions going on.
All the best,
