Following in the footsteps of Crescent Moon Games, Rovio and other popular indie game developers-turned-publishers, 10tons Ltd. – of Ironworm, Grim Joggers and Sparkle 2 famehave announced plans to begin releasing third-party titles from next month onwards. The first out the gate will be Trouserheart, Dicework Games’ eagerly awaited follow-up to Rimelands: Hammer of Thor.

Aside from that intriguingly brilliant title, Trouserheart sounds like it’s got a whole lot of potential. Dicework describe it as an “instantly accessible action adventure game set in a playful fantasy world,” and promise features like bright and colorful 3D graphics, super fluid controls, loads of hidden treasure, and a world full of monsters and bosses to beat. If that strikes you as the kind of thing you’d enjoy, be sure to look for Trouserheart on the App Store this September.

10tons’ CEO Tero Alatalo, for one, seems genuinely excited about what Trouserheart has to offer, and says he had a great time working with the folks at Dicework:

trouserheart_02It’s been great to work on Trouserheart with Dicework Games. When we first saw the game we instantly fell in love with the art style and the easygoing gameplay. Even after spending several months with the game, it still brings up that simple feeling of enjoyment every time you pick it up.

Meanwhile, Arto Koistinen, CEO of Dicework Games, echoes Tero’s sentiments about how enjoyable and conducive to productivity the partnership between the two companies has been, and looks forward to iOS gamers getting their hands on Trouserheart:

Teaming up with 10tons has been fantastic. We’ve been able to pour all our time and creative energy into crafting and polishing Trouserheart, and it’s working beautifully. I can’t wait for players to start whacking blockolds and hoarding treasure!

ETA: Trouserheart will be released as a premium game on iOS in September, with announcements for additional platforms coming shortly thereafter. We’ll be sure to bring you more news on this fantastic looking game as it comes to us. In the meantime, you can swing by 10tons’ website and/or Facebook fan-page for further details and more screenshots.
